The Mechanical Engineering Department recently organized seminars for Master’s students specializing in Applied Mechanics. The events were attended by the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Hafidh Al-Ghazali, several faculty members, and graduate students. The seminars were managed by the graduate studies committee in department which was headed by Prof. Dr. Naseer aboodi Madlol. The students reviewed their research by giving a general idea, research objectives, method of work, obstacles to laboratory work, manufacturing practical models and some of the obtained results. The committee gave guidance and observations that would enhance the research and raise its scientific level. The formed committee also determined the completion rates for each research and gave the necessary recommendations and successful methods to students in order to achieve the requirements of the research and complete it on time. It is worth mentioning that such seminars aim to raise the scientific and research level of graduate students and enhance the student’s self-confidence to exercise his role in research and find solutions to engineering problems of specialization.
