A patent registration by a faculty member from the Faculty of Engineering at the University

The faculty member, Prof. Dr. Ali Sadiq Yasir Alithari, a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, in partnership with Engineer Lamia Abdel Hassan Mahdi, obtained a patent entitled “An Innovative Method for Manufacturing Armor Against Projectiles Using Nanocomposite Materials”
This patent includes finding an innovative and new way to manufacture shields against projectiles characterized by being lightweight, thin, cheap and highly efficient in protecting their user against projectiles, as these shields were used composite materials of polymers and Kevler fibers in addition to nanomaterials from graphene .
