The aim of the workshop is a detailed review of the readiness report and the path of continuous improvement to obtain accreditation for engineering education programs.
The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa organized a workshop to discuss the work mechanisms required to obtain accreditation for engineering programs in the departments of the Faculty of Engineering.
The lecturer in the workshop and a member of the Iraqi Council for the Accreditation of Engineering Education, Dr. Ali Naji Attia, explained the detailed mechanism on the national standards for the accreditation of engineering education programs.
The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mahdi Al-Khateeb, in the presence of his assistants, heads of scientific departments and a group of professors, pointed out the basic ways to achieve the required standards, especially those related to measuring and evaluating students’ access to learning outcomes to meet local and international requirements to achieve the professional competencies of graduates, as well as outlining the timing of work in the context of reaching readiness to apply for accreditation for engineering education programs for the eight departments of the college.
It is worth mentioning that the Faculty of Engineering is one of the leading faculties of the University of Kufa, which has worked to review the curricula of study and in coordination with the American University of Kentucky since 2012 in the way of sobriety of programs and preparation of accreditation.
