On Monday, May 22, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering’s Department of Facilities Engineering and Water Resources recently organized a seminar titled “Introducing the Bologna Process of Education.”
The primary focus of the workshop was to provide an overview of the guidelines for implementing the Bologna educational process in Iraqi universities, specifically in the engineering faculties. These guidelines are set to be implemented in the upcoming year, following the directives of the esteemed dean and the committees responsible for the application of this educational system.
The adoption of the Bologna educational process aims to enhance the quality of engineering education and align it with the standards observed in European Union countries. By implementing this system, the various departments and the deanship within the Faculty of Engineering will experience an improvement in the overall engineering educational landscape. This advancement will enable Iraqi universities to keep pace with their European counterparts who have already embraced the Bologna educational process.
