On March 15, 2023, at the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, Assistant Professor Nabil Saleh Ali conducted a workshop titled “Types of Scientific Citation” in collaboration with the Informatics Research and Qualification Center. The workshop focused on distinguishing between citation and inference. The speaker emphasized that citation involves using the ideas and research of others without acknowledging their authors. In contrast, inference involves incorporating a portion of published research or thesis with proper reference to the author.
