A faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering – University of Kufa, Dr. Hashim Naji Azooz Al Mahmud, with his research team from Michigan Technological University, participated in the International Conference on Advanced Topics in Mechanics of Materials, Structures and Constructions AToMech1-2023, which was held at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University in Saudi Arabia for the period 12 -14, March 2023. The conference was held in person, with the opportunity to participate virtually using the Microsoft Teams platform. The participation of Dr. Al Mahmud came in the research entitled “Molecular Dynamics Modeling to Probe the Effect of Surface Functionalization on the Interfacial Shear Strength of Graphene/Epoxy Nanocomposites”
In his presentation on the Microsoft Teams platform, Dr. Al Mahmud talked about the work of researchers in the field of mechanics of composite engineering materials treated with nanomaterials. It is worth noting that this conference attracts many international researchers in the field of mechanical engineering and some other related disciplines.
