The Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Naji Attia in the College of Engineering participated in the workshop held in College of Engineering, Iraqi University. The workshop dealt with the issue of programmatic accreditation for engineering education and it was attended by the Dean of the College of Engineering at the Iraqi University and a group of elite faculty members. Three lectures were given, the first one was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ziyad Suleiman, President of the Iraqi Council and it dealt with the Council’s work policy in granting accreditation for engineering education programs in Iraq. The second lecture was given by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Naji Attia. The lecture was about the philosophy of education based on modern learning outcomes that mainly contribute to controlling the quality of graduates and having the required qualifications in the labor market. As for the third lecture, it was given by the member of the council, Prof Dr. Jalal Muhammad. It was about the continuous improvement mechanism necessary to assess and correct students’ achievement on graduation outcomes
