The Director of the Civil Defense Directorate in Al-Najaf Governorate, accompanied by a group of officers, visited the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mahdi Al-Khateeb. During the visit, they engaged in practical exercises on fire extinguishing and first aid and educational instructions on earthquake preparedness, fire safety measures, and accident prevention.
The group also inspected the Faculty’s corridors and classrooms. Al-Khateeb emphasized the critical role of civil defense personnel in preserving lives and property and mitigating risks in emergencies. He also underscored the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the province’s Faculty of Engineering and the Directorate of Civil Defense.
In response, the human rights dean, Rashid Thabet Rashid, affirmed the readiness of the Civil Defense Directorate to support and assist the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa, recognizing the University’s significance as one of the vital facilities in the province of Najaf.
