The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa participates in a symposium organized by the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, and Public Works

Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Naji Attia from the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Kufa participated in a symposium organized by the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, and Public Works on Thursday, February 23, 2023, to highlight the international partnership agreement that was recently concluded between the aforementioned ministry and the American Concrete Institute. Dr. Attia talked about the future prospects for cooperation between the Ministry of Construction and that international institution specialized in the field of writing specifications and codes for the use of concrete in construction projects. He asserted the importance of cooperation in holding training workshops for Iraqi engineers and updating Iraqi codes. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Attia has been a member of the American Concrete Institute since 2013 and the executive director of the institute’s branch in Iraq.
