On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, the Ministerial Committee, led by Prof. Dr. Qassem Hassan Badr, visited the laboratories of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Nano Research Unit to assess the availability of resources for establishing a doctoral program in applied mechanics at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The department head, department rapporteur, members of the doctoral study development committee, and some of the department’s professors welcomed the ministerial committee and accompanied them on a tour of the postgraduate studies halls and laboratories in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Nano Unit of the Faculty of Engineering.
The ministerial team praised the preparations and procedures the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research implemented and expressed appreciation to the Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering for providing all the necessary laboratory and classroom facilities for postgraduate students. According to Prof. Dr. Hasan Al-Khateeb, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Deanship had made a concerted effort to fulfill all the requirements for establishing a doctoral program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in applied mechanics.
