A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa and Al-Qasim Green University. The joint committee, led by Prof. Dr. Safaa Khudair Hashim Al-Barqaawi, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Qasim Green University, held its first meeting on February 15, 2023, at the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Kufa. Attendees included Prof. Hamed Azab Aidan, the representative of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa, and other key individuals. During the meeting, the attendees discussed the activities and procedures that could be carried out under the memorandum of understanding. The two parties agreed to develop a joint plan within a specified timeframe to implement several initiatives, such as establishing a joint applied scientific conference, joint supervision of students’ graduation research, and forming joint research teams to produce collaborative scientific research. The joint committee also agreed to organize various student events, hold a joint exhibition of scientific products and student research, and facilitate mutual scientific trips for students of the two faculties. The joint committee will hold monthly meetings to follow up on the plan’s implementation.
