A professor from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Al-Waeli, contributes with a team from different Iraqi universities to writing a book specialized in finite element method and its applications in the engineering field and gets the first place among 348 competitors. The book was published by Elsevier under the title “Energy Methods and Finite Element Techniques” for Stress and Vibration Applications.
The main objective of writing this book is to introduce the researcher to the finite element technique and how to apply it to solve engineering problems. The book included a detailed explanation of the method of applying the finite element technique to find the stresses and vibrations of engineering structures in their various forms and applications. Prof. Al-Waeli also indicated that these technologies are still valid, and their use is increasing, and their development is very fast with the developments of computer capabilities.
