Due to its major role during the period from September 2021 to September 2022, the Nano Research Unit won a prize by getting first place among 73 research units and centres in Iraq. This came for the contribution in more than 13 scientific research papers published in Scopus, which is made possible due to the scientific effort of the unit researchers represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Diwan and Prof. Dr. Sabah Merisen. Note that the Nano Unit was established in 2012 and has presented many solid research papers published globally in Scopus and Clarivate classified journals. The unit also has had many contributions in many fields, including patents, manufacturing laboratory equipment, manufacturing and preparing nanomaterials, as well as solving the problems of companies and laboratories, especially in cement industry field. It is worth mentioning that the unit had also won the first place in the Al-Kafeel competition for graduation projects, and for its participation in exhibitions and competitions held by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. 2022.
The Nano Research Unit is still providing its services to researchers through available modern laboratories and equipment.
