Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mahdi Al-Khatib, and under the patronage of the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Amer Abdul-Mahdi Al-Jalihawi, and in the presence of the department’s professors, the Department of Electrical Engineering organized a seminar entitled (Self-control over the electrical systems of the hybrid type that operate in isolation from the main network) Which was delivered by Dr. Ali Qassem Al-Moussawi.
Where the globally applicable control and the possibility of applying it to electrical networks that depend on renewable energy such as solar cells and batteries for the purpose of storage were discussed.
The most important challenges in this aspect were also addressed, whether in terms of spaces, considering that this type of energy requires being close to the places of power distribution or in terms of the costs required to establish these systems and the mechanism of choosing the best places for the distribution of power systems. The lecture included many questions by the professors of the scientific department.
