Dr. Hazem Jassem Al-Talqani, a faculty member from the faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa, participated in the first international conference to achieve sustainable development goals, which was held at the Turkish University (Altınbaş University) in cooperation with Al-Furat Al-Awsat University and Al-Mustaqbal University College for two days, 6-7/6/2022.
The research is about “Investigating the Thermal Behavior and Productivity of a Double Slope Solar Still System Integrated with a Basin of Phase Change Material Supported by an Experimental Data”.
A numerical model is formulated in this study to investigate the performance of a dual tilt solar system with phase-changing material. Thermal behavior and solar energy yield were investigated under different fluxes of solar radiation with different operating hours. The code (OpenFOAM V.8) was used to solve the current model. The results show that the temperature values on the south side of the system are higher than on the north side.
