Within the series of scientific seminars organized by the Network of Scientists Abroad (NESA), the scientific symposium was held via the Internet, tagged:
(Engineering Education in Iraq: Challenges and Aspirations)
In which a group of faculty members and engineers from the College of Engineering at the University of Kufa participated in it, including Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Naji Attia, who spoke about the problems of engineering education and that the radical solution to engineering education problems is through adopting the method based on learning outcomes and that the change in the education philosophy is the basic step For any development projects in it.
It is noteworthy that the seminar was moderated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad al-Rubaie, an expert at the University of Dublin, Ireland, in which the lecturers addressed the reality of engineering education and the challenges it faces in Iraq. Iraq needs it. While in the second lecture, Professor Dr. Ramzi Mahmoud of the University of California in the United States of America spoke about the educational goals of the engineering graduate and explained how the description of the graduate can contribute to keeping pace with the labor market and its needs.
For his part, Dr. Ziyad Sulaiman, President of the Iraqi Council for Accreditation of Engineering Education, interfered and explained the efforts made by the Council to develop engineering education, while Professor Muhammad Attia Al-Sarraj, a teaching staff at the College of Engineering Al-Khwarizmi, University of Baghdad, interfered with the importance of building the human being in changing the reality of engineering education and thus achieving ages Iraq.
