With the start of the university calendar for the 2020/2021 academic year and the first academic day, and within a series of his inspection tours of the university formations, the President of the University of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Yasser Lafta Hassoun, visited the Faculty of Engineering; to review the progress of the educational process in light of the current challenges facing the university due to the Corona pandemic, and he was received by the Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Hasan Mahdi Al-Khateeb.
During his visit, Prof. Dr. Yasser Lafta Hassoun made an inspection tour of the faculty’s various facilities, laboratories, ceremonies, and a meeting with dear students. He expressed his appreciation for the efforts made in the faculty’s administration, stressing the need to continue working on developing the faculty and making it a model for scientific and academic development, stressing the commitment to scientific sobriety, academic standards, and procedures. Health and prevention in terms of spacing and wearing masks and gloves, as well as rehabilitating all classrooms to create a healthy study environment suitable for students, recommending the necessity of exerting more effort and perseverance in a way that achieves the advancement of the faculty, appreciating the role of the faculty deanship, its administration, teachers, and associates in rehabilitating the faculty in record time it is consistent with its size and pioneering role in all fields.
Dr. Al-Khateeb gave a scientific summary of the faculty’s achievements and a full explanation of the nature of the educational and research process in the faculty, the measures taken to overcome all the obstacles it faces in light of the Corona pandemic, and the research and development projects it is currently implementing, speaking about the progress in the field of applied scientific research that is being carried out by faculty members.
