A lecturer from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa as a Chair of the Master Discussion Committee on Compacted Concrete and Its Use in Road Engineering Applications

The head of the Civil Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abbas Al-Jumaili, was chosen as a chair of the committee to discuss the master thesis entitled: “The durability of roller-compacted concrete mixes containing silica sand powder as partial replacement of Portland cement” for the student Zahraa Alaa Muhammad Ali, from the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad.
Al-Jumaili indicated that the student studied the use of compacted concrete in road engineering applications and studied its durability by using silica powder as a partial substitute for cement in cement mixes and gave a bearing strength of 45 MPa and reduced the use of cement in the construction of concrete paving.
