University of Kufa writes an article on the dangers and challenges of water scarcity

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa wrote a scientific article entitled:
“Dangers and challenges of water scarcity” by Dr. Fadhel Abdulabbas Alshitali from the Department of Structures and Water Resources Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa, which showed the main challenges facing man, explaining what Iraq is experiencing high temperatures. Dr. Alshitali pointed out that the Middle East is one of the most water-scarce regions in the world. Water scarcity is not limited to developing countries, but also to rich countries. The European Commission has recently expressed serious concern about the continuing lack of water resources in Europe.
Dr. Alshitali mentioned that in order to improve the water situation and secure adequate water shares for different consumption, there must be a water management capable of advancing this reality, which can be achieved by taking some measures, including: the use of modern irrigation methods, lining the canals, conducting studies, surveys and designs, attention to desalination projects salt, attention to the maintenance of dams and hydraulic installations, the exploitation of groundwater as a secondary source in the adoption of various water consumption, and recycling wastewater.
