Instructor of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kufa was awarded a Doctorate in Civil Engineering

In the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Basra, a doctoral thesis “Structural Behavior of a Multi-Space Steel Bridge by using the Finite Element Method” was discussed by the researcher Ammar J. Al-Moussawi, instructor and Ph.D. student from the Department of Structures and Water Resources at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kufa.
The researcher said that the use of the steel frame in supporting the plates to a seaport length of 400 meters can be a successful alternative to the structural support. The researcher used samples from Um Qasr soil in southern Iraq for his research.
After the discussion committee recorded its observations, the committee went to evaluate the thesis and decided to award the student a doctorate in civil engineering with a very good grade.
The student and his supervisors have published a research paper based on the thesis in the International Journal of Science and Technology Engineering, which is within the Scopas and the coefficient of influence 4.
