During a seminar held by the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kufa, Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Al-Tamimi presented one of the methods to teach the ethics of practicing engineering career by engaging students in the discussion of ethical issues. Al-Tamimi presented several videos containing situations that may the engineer experienced during the career. At the end of each scene, the students are asked to discuss the subject of the scene and express opinions about the engineer’s behavior regarding the presented issue and the ambit of matching or mismatching of the Engineer’s actions with the provisions of the code of ethics of engineering practice. Students are then informed of the provisions contained in the Code of Ethics of the Practice of Engineering that address the raised issue and indicate the correct procedure required by Engineer.
