A member of the Faculty of Engineering was elected asVice-Chairman of the Standing Committee at the Arab League

During the fourth meeting of the Standing Committee of the Arab unified codes of construction, which was held for the period from 24 to 26 September 2018 at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, the assistant professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Al-Tamimi teaching at the Faculty of Engineering, the representative of the Republic of Iraq, was elected as Vice-Chairman of the Committee for 2018-2019.
Al-Tamimi said that the meeting was held in the presence of representatives of Arab countries, the Technical Secretariat of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States and representatives of the United Nations Environment Program / West Asia Office.
Worth to mention that is the fourth time in a row that Dr. Al-Tamimi has been elected to this post in recognition of his efforts he is making in preparing, drafting, updating and applying Arabic codes.
