A member of Faculty of Engineering gains a PhD in Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Hossam Jawad Abdul Samad, a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kufa, complete his PhD requirements in mechanical engineering, specializing in Applied Mechanics, from University of Basra, on his thesis entitled:
Curl bending in composite and hybrid columns made of glass fiber reinforced by polyester
The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of the reinforcement properties (such as fiber size, volume ratio of fibers and core type of samples) on the behavior of cages for composite piles made of polyester and other hybrid components using a core of alloy steel material.
The researcher and supervisor have published a paper in one of the Brazilian publishing houses classified within Scopus.
