Assistant Professor from the Faculty of Engineering chosen as a member of the MSc thesis viva committee

Assistant Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Attia from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering was appointed as a member of the discussion committee of the Master Thesis tagged:
Study the efficiency of steel fibers to improve the absorptive capacity and deformation of columns
For the candidate Haidar Abdul Rida Ghani from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Baghdad.
Dr. Attia said that the researcher conducted experimental tests to study the tensile and compressive zone in the interference plan of concrete columns reinforced with steel fibers. He added that the main variables in this study are the change in the ratio of steel fiber in the samples, and then drawing the interactive diagram (between the load and torque) with different ratios of steel fiber.
The student received a master’s degree in construction specialization with B+ grade.
