Faculty of Engineering at University of Kufa awarded a master’s degree studied the non-linear regression analysis of reinforced concrete members exposed to explosion loads

The Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering / University of Kufa discussed the master thesis of the student Huraa Mohammed Hussein titled:
Non – linear regression analysis of reinforced concrete members exposed to explosion loads
The discussion committee of the thesis consisted of Prof. Dr. Ammar Yasser Ali from the University of Babylon as President and Assistant Professor Dr. Sajjad Amer Hamza from the University of Karbala member and Assistant Professor Dr. Salah Taleb Nmenem of the University of Kufa member and Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Naji Attia from the University of Kufa supervisor of the rule.
The researcher studied the impact of explosions on reinforced concrete buildings and improve its resistance against these threats, especially with the increase in explosions resulting from terrorist acts in all parts of the world. The researcher reached the possibility of increasing the durability of reinforced concrete members to the damage by increasing its dimensions and the proportion of longitudinal reinforcement used. The researcher also concluded that the restriction of concrete using iron collars close to each other has a significant increasing on the explosion resistance and reducing the potential losses.
