A delegation from the University visited the holy Shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH), represented by the President of the University: Professor Mohsen Abdul Hussein Al-Dhalimi, the Assistant President of the University for Financial and Administrative Affairs: Professor Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering: Assistant Professor Mr. Ali Sadiq Yaser Al-Athari, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Planning Prof. Abdul-Saheb Al-Baghdadi, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Azzam, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Assistant Professor Dr. Aqeel Shukri, Director of university residences departments Dr. Hassan Taqi, as well as Director of Public Relations at the Faculty of Engineering. The delegation was received by the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, Mr. Yusuf Al-Sheikh Radhi, his deputy and the directors of Public Relations and External Relations.
The visit comes as a response of the invitation of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine. The meeting reviewed the stages of scientific developments made by the University of Kufa during the past years to spread the science and knowledge in various disciplines. The two sides discussed the future of cooperation between them and the exchange of administrative and engineering expertise, and potential cooperation in the field of training, human development and other fields. The two sides discussed enhancing joint cooperation to improve the services provided to the shrine of Amir Al Mu’minin (peace be upon him).
Al-Dhlami revealed, during the meeting, the scientific and technical potentials in the university and stressed the need to develop them through cooperation between the university and the Holy Shrine, which will contribute in developing the scientific and educational fields. Besides the potential benefits that can be gained by the Holy Shrine’s employees from the professors’ experiences in the deferent fields.
From his side, Secretary General Mr. Al-Sheikh Radhi expressed his pleasant with the achievements of the university and indicate the program that has been set by the holy Shrine to cooperate with it and high willing to communicate with the university and all colleges and in various fields.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the University presented certificates of appreciation to the staff in appreciation of the efforts that made during the holy month of Ramadan for the students of the university residences departments and expressed his thanks and appreciation to all employees of the Holy Shrine.
