The Faculty of Engineering holds a Scientific Symposium on Engineering Ethics and Its Teaching Methods

A scientific symposium was held at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa, entitled: “Methods of teaching engineering ethics”.
The lecture was delivered by the Department of Civil Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdulhussein Al-Tameemi, and was attended by a group of faculty members in the faculty. The seminar included preparation for the role of ethics in human life systems and the preservation of the good values of society and contribute to the advancement and well-being of its members, as well as the importance of professional ethics in the practice of engineering work and address the organization of the relationship between all parties involved in any engineering work.
Al-Tameemi indicated the importance of teaching engineering college students the subject of engineering ethics, for the purpose of preparing them to deal with professional issues and immunizing them from incorrect practices during the practice of the profession, as well as motivating them to develop their own capabilities, care for community rights, and act according to good ethics. He explained that students’ possession of qualifications that deal with ethical and professional issues fall within the requirements for academic accreditation, which all colleges plan to obtain because of its importance in raising the quality of education and developing academic work.
The symposium included a review of the obligations required of the engineer under the terms of the Iraqi Code of Ethics for Practicing the Engineering Profession, which students must review and apply after their graduation,
