University of Kufa holds a Symposium on Curricula and Application of Environmental Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa organized a scientific symposium entitled: “Curricula and Application of Environmental Engineering”
The purpose of the symposium is to inform the department’s professors and graduate students on the field of specialization and the importance of environmental engineering, review and discuss the approaches adopted in Iraqi and international universities to teach environmental engineering at the level of primary and higher studies, and review and discuss the interference in the field of environmental engineering with other engineering majors and the interference in the curricula as well, and review some Local environmental problems and the necessary treatments available.
The lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Hasan Mahdi Al-Khateeb, who prepared the symposium lecture, referred to the field of environmental engineering specialization and its education curricula at the level of primary and higher university studies according to Iraqi and international universities, indicating the size and aspects of the interface of environmental engineering with other engineering specialties and other scientific disciplines, As well as the fields of application of environmental engineering in solving environmental problems, including the problems of local visible infrastructure and planning and strategic problems in this aspect.
The curricula for this specialization were discussed on the curriculum system and the size of its overlap with the curriculum of the Department of Civil Engineering, with some visions to develop these curricula.
